Position Purpose

As part of Brambles’ global HR Systems team, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, detailed analysis, support and maintenance of our Kronos Time & Attendance System. This role will act as in-house "Subject Matter Expert" for Kronos and will participate in administration activities to include configuration, clock setup, testing, imports and interfaces and training.  This is a techno-functional position which requires strong analytical skills to carry out support of the Kronos system and its end users including but not limited to the following duties: performing analysis and documentation of workflow; assessment of system needs and requirements, creating test scripts and participating in user acceptance testing, creating training materials and training end-user staff.

 

  • Provide application support to include, but not limited to, troubleshooting second and third tier user requests or issues, resolving system and data problems, performing routine system maintenance, maintaining error logs and resolving data and interface errors, testing of system changes, loading of data, and reporting. Act as lead post-production support liaison for the region.

  • Define technical standards and standard operating procedures for application configuration to ensure clear communication of system setup needs for other members of the support team.

  • Provide functional, technical and process expertise to the Human Resource and functional business teams on the Kronos application.

  • Analyze system capabilities, data integrity and business processes as part of daily activities and make recommendations for improvements in order to support a highly functioning HR system.

  • The role will be part of a global project team to support a phased global Kronos deployment project and will help lead in the initial setup and rollout of Kronos in Latin America for the countries in scope as well as provide product expertise to internal HR clients. This position is part of the team accountable for ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users throughout the organization.

 

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Work with global Kronos team on design, configuration and testing the application related to time and attendance elements including: Pay Rules, Work Rules, Accruals, Scheduling, WIMs, Attendance, Access Profiles, etc. particularly with enterprise agreement work and paid time off rules.

  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of Kronos test scripts, including regression testing.

  • Accountable for gathering and analyzing business requirement specifications, measurements, data mappings, policies, business procedures, etc. as well as transforming them into creative solutions within the system.

  • Ensure timely and accurate setup of work rules and paid time off rules in accordance with Company policy, regulatory and collective bargaining agreements and liaise with the Labor Relations team to review Collective Bargaining Agreements and update Kronos configuration to accommodate new union rules and regulations. Work closely with Payroll leaders to ensure the appropriate application of new or changing enterprise/union agreements and compensation policies.

  • Generate reports and analytics of the Kronos data for internal and external customers using existing or developing new queries or creating new standard Kronos reports.

  • Maintain security related configuration (functional access – what tasks the user can perform in the application, data access profiles, reports, work rules and paid time off rules.)

  • Conduct root cause analysis and develops resolutions for routine to highly complex technical issues; generates recommendations to avoid and/or minimize production problems and issues.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance on the use of the Kronos applications.

  • Work closely with IT to coordinate installation and maintenance of time clocks at local sites.

  • Interact with Kronos users on a day-to-day basis to provide solutions, support and incident resolution while meeting agreed SLA metrics.

  • Train on the Kronos tool to local teams and develop site-based super-users. During the "train the trainer" phase, help train the respective user base.

  • Ensure ongoing maintenance of knowledge base and training resources. Provide user training and communication of any updates to new and existing users.

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

 

Experience

  • 5+ years working experience in IT, Payroll or HRIS

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands on configuration/system administrator experience in Kronos 6.0 version or greater; handling all system configuration and support the application itself including WIM.

 

Skills and Knowledge

  • Degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (or equivalent direct work experience) with demonstrated or proven experience on the application of Timekeeping/Payroll principles and concepts.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of timekeeping administration including enterprise agreement environments.

  • Ability to design, implement and refine complex processes and to optimize performance.

  • Strong issue resolution and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.

  • Strong communication, leadership, interpersonal, influencing and cross-functional teamwork skills.

  • Excellent research, computation and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and work under time constraints and deadlines.

  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
