Position Purpose

Serve as a senior advisor to Brambles’ leadership at a global, regional and country level on key matters of strategy development and execution.  Help set, and support the company’s strategic agenda

Design and manage the Brambles strategy planning process- 3 Year Planning Process, Brambles Strategy Reviews (BSRs) and related Executive Leadership Team (ELT) sessions

Propose, develop and lead the implementation of strategic projects, at a Group level, Business Unit level or Global Functional level

Propose, manage, execute potential M&A and Corporate Development opportunities- M&A, Joint Ventures, divestments- covering the entire life-cycle of the opportunity- from identification through execution and post-deal execution

Major/Key Accountabilities

Develop, execute and monitor Brambles 3 Year Strategy Planning Process, ensuring close coordination with Group Functions- Finance, IT, HR- and Global Business Units

  • Support strategy planning & execution within regional and global business units. Collaborate with management team leaders to define their strategic plans and ensure effective execution

  • Manage the Corporate Strategy budget for strategic projects, leading specific project evaluation, funding, and monitoring

  • Manage Brambles’ strategic agenda within the Americas region, manage the quarterly Brambles’ Strategic Review agenda, ensuring consistency with the overall strategy planning process, supporting the involved business and functional teams in defining key

  • topics and content for discussion

  • Lead the development and the implementation of key strategic projects- at global or regional level- across Brambles business units- Pallets, RPC- and global functions

  • Manage the M&A and Corporate Development pipeline at regional level and contributing to the global pipeline.  Propose and develop opportunities, work with other proponents to build support and business cases around potential opportunities for non-organic value creation

  • Manage strategic due diligence and post merge integration activity of M&A activities developed within the reference regions

  • Master Brambles IP and knowledge around strategic topics for Brambles positioning within the industry

  • Contribute to process improvement in the area of strategy planning and execution, and Corporate Development

  • Broad scope of work, across entire Brambles business portfolio

  • Requiring buy-in and consensus from colleagues across the business, as the role is intended an a thought leader and key influencer with a need to build buy-in and support from the operating business leadership across the region to be successful working across multiple time zones

  • Bachelor in economics/ management/ finance


  • 10+ years of working experience, preferably the majority of which  within strategy or management consulting or similar roles within leading multinational organizations

  • Solid track record in executing M&A transaction from a strategic perspective, including post-deal execution

  • Proven ability and interest in working and delivering on strategic projects

  • Experienced across different roles within the organisation

  • Managed projects across a broad range of topics across the business

  • Experience in working across different time zones/ cultures

  • Initiated and developed several projects/ initiatives

  • Organizationally agile, able to work across different level of the organisation

  • Experience across different sectors, beyond logistics and asset pooling- Retail and industrials would be preferable but not essential

  • Excellent ability to frame complex problems and develop simple frameworks
