Position Purpose

  • As a member of the CHEP USA National Accounts Leadership Team, the Director of Beverage & Dairy will contribute to the growth strategy of the US business and lead a field based commercial team managing CHEP’s current and future Beverage and Dairy industry customers in the United States. The role will have responsibility for improving existing revenue/profitability, developing supply chain solutions, nurturing existing relationships, maximizing customer satisfaction/retention and driving lane expansion.


Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Direct and develop a team of four Strategic Sales Managers and (dotted line) two Extended Service Managers

  • Develop a multi-year ‘Protect, Improve, and Grow’ customer strategy for the beverage and dairy sectors

  • Develop and leverage senior relationships with our customers to create, promote, and defend CHEP’s value to ensure strategic, profitable and sustainable customer partnerships

  • Position CHEP as an industry thought leader through active participation in industry associations, speaking engagements and media

  • Develop key sales managers to lead critical business categories

  • Achieve profitable revenue and pallet issue targets with Beverage/Dairy sales managers through effective management and leveraging sales methodologies (i.e., Miller Heiman, GAP Negotiation Training)

  • Create a team culture that develops a portfolio of supply chain solutions with each customer

  • Collaborate with the Strategic Account Management team to ensure fast and effective responses to customer issues at a local level.

  • Promote and advocate Zero Harm culture

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related

  • Senior leadership skills

  • Strategy development

  • Critical multi department collaboration 


Desirable Qualifications

  • Senior sales leadership

  • Miller Heiman, Strategic Selling

  • GAP Negotiation Training

  • CPG Industry expertise with a focus on Beverage/Dairy



  • 10+ years total experience in sales, supply chain and/or logistics showing motivation and enthusiasm for continued learning

  • 7+ years of Managing and Developing a Sales and/or Account Manager Team

  • Prior Industry Experience Preferred in Logistics, Beverage and/or FMCG

  • Solutions sales, Complex Selling, Negotiation Training

  • Reviewing and Executing Legal Contracts

  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodology


Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to represent senior leadership with top 25 Beverage & Dairy customers

  • Understand a complex sale and the customers supply chain needs.
