Position Purpose

End to end management and processing of Payrolls for the US ( Up to 6,000 Employees) across the Brambles group. Working with business stakeholders to ensure that the payroll meets with their requirements and that all employees are paid accurately and on time.



  • Annual Payroll Managed:  $130mm in payroll annually

  • Number of Countries: US, Canada, LATAM

  • Number of Locations: Americas Responsibility

  • Reports:  3 Direct; 9 Indirect


Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Management of the day to day processing of payrolls

  • Responding to employee inquiries

  • Statutory payments and reporting including all taxation and Statutory Payments to meet all statutory and business compliance

  • Year End reporting and documentation

  • Vendor management including any integration with new systems and vendors

  • Audit reporting

  • Monitoring and training of junior team members

  • Work with internal and external audit teams to ensure system and processes meet best practice

  • Ex-Pat Payroll management

  • Stock Options Payment Management

  • Executive Payroll Management

  • Canada Payroll support back up

  • People management processes for direct report

  • Financial reconciliation support

  • All payrolls will be processed accurately and on time.

  • Third party payments will be processed timely.

  • Reporting will be delivered in order to support the balancing of Payroll accounts and accruals.

  • Year End reports will be delivered timely.

  • Business reports will be delivered as required.

  • Systems will be used and configured to meet business requirements.



  • Payroll delivered to our employees accurately and on-time.

  • Today, payroll self-reports accuracy.  This role will identify how to automate payroll accuracy to ensure that what is reported matches the customer experience.

Authority/ Decision Making

  • People decisions such as hiring, firing and ER problems

  • Customer problems resolution, and root cause analysis to ensure issues are not repeated

  • Working autonomously or having limited access to immediate manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field     

  • Desirable Certification in Payroll Processing



  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of HRIS experience required, Workday required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the administration and explanation of HR policies/ procedures

  • Strong Microsoft  skills experience with end user customer support  required

  • At least 5 years’ experience in running payrolls including year-end processing and multistate taxes

  • ADP Payroll Service Usage

  • 3 to 4 years  Workday Payroll experience

  • Demonstrated experience interacting with employees at all levels and providing excellent customer service

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and follow through skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Able to handle and manage multiple assignments and projects

  • Superior Knowledge of  payroll policies/programs

  • Must possess drive for excellence and a get-it-done attitude

  • Experience with Change Management and cultural change
