Develop and execute Construction and Industrial Equipment Installation Initiatives in support of CHEP North American Operations
Develop project plans and successfully execute them in accordance with established schedule, cost and performance standards.
Support the development of proper documents to include cost estimates and project justifications.
Manage all activities associated with execution of each project to include scope development, site selection, RFQ’s, PO generation, contractor selection, on-site supervision during the installation and start-up of equipment.
Ensure that projects meet safety regulations and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate internal and external resources for the flawless execution of projects.
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress for all key stakeholders.
Coordinate training of on-site personnel as needed for system operation and maintenance.
Ensure proper handoff of completed projects to include as-built drawings, maintenance and operations manuals, and spare parts lists.
Manage multiple ongoing projects on behalf of CHEP:
Provide status updates on construction/refurbishment projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time
Provide supplier support as needed
Track CHEP CAPEX spend and management of CHEP owned assets

Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience in the Field
5-7 years of Program Management experience
Demonstrated process improvement experience
Experience installing industrial equipment
Minimum 5 years prior construction experience
Skills and Knowledge
Expert Project Management Skills
Experience in sawmilling/timber industry desirable
Knowledgeable in industrial engineering and material handling.
Understanding of construction procedures and project management principles
Strong attention to detail
Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle complexity
Ability to work across cultures and manage multiple stakeholders
Familiarity with construction/ project management software and MS Office
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality
Languages Required; English; Desirable - Spanish
