Position Purpose

  • This key individual will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the systems and processes used by the logistics and planning teams.  He or she will use expert level technical skills and supply chain knowledge to build, improve, and manage systems related to supply chain intelligence and automation.  This person will also use interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally to understand the needs of various CHEP supply chain groups and translate those needs into practical, functional and technical solutions.  This person will drive continuous improvement and value for the supply chain teams by leveraging technology.  The individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ambiguity to exercise technical creativity and courage to create unique business solutions.  Key performance indicators of note are no-touch order automation, supply chain optimization, and systems development.


Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and continue to develop JDA software: Production & Sourcing Optimization (PSO)
  • Improve supply chain automation systems and data-driven forecast analysis
  • Streamline, maintain, and reconcile supply chain data with various systems including MS office, JDA PSO, SQL, and other systems
  • Learn and adapt current and new technologies to meet the growing needs of the CHEP supply chain
  • Train and teach supply chain systems to other groups as a functional subject matter expert
  • Improve processes related to data and information flow between logistics and planning departments
  • Support and drive projects to improve planning system accuracy
  • Complete ad-hoc analysis and projects quickly and accurately as required
  • Review, maintain, and update SOPs for job function

  • BS or equivalent and 2-5 years related experience in IS, supply chain, business, mathematics, or industrial engineering
  • Strong expertise in MS Access, MS Excel, automation systems, JDA Master Planning and/or PSO, MySQL, VBA, and other technical systems
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Optimization techniques and concepts
  • Detail Oriented – ability validate, analyze, and translate large amounts of data
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Drive and passion to own and improve a major business process



  • Prior IT, Supply Chain, or business intelligence experience preferred


Skills and Knowledge

  • Required – Strong/Expert MS Access and MS Excel
  • Required – Strong SQL experience
  • Required – Knowledge of statistical data analysis
  • Required – Basic programming and coding experience
  • Preferred – JDA Master Planning and/or PSO experience
  • Preferred – Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru experience
  • Preferred – Six Sigma Green Belt certified
