Position Purpose

This role is responsible for providing the Business with detailed supply chain finance activities and insight on key initiatives to drive efficiencies, increase profitability, reduce cost to serve, as well as broader financial support. In addition this role is a trusted business advisor who works alongside the operations and logistics functions, supporting and advising on strategic and operational decision making to drive business performance.


Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Finance leader and trusted advisor for the respective function they are supporting

  • Provides strategic and operational decision making guidance to the supply chain leadership team
    Provides business with analytics and insights to support strategic and operational decision making, and in doing so, influences improved business performance and capital allocation decisions

  • Provides deep functional analytical insight through modelling detailed inputs on budgets and forecasts

  • Supports and influences to drive better business performance and capital allocation decisions (e.g. sales growth, customers, supply chain, capex management)

  • Supports the long term planning cycle and strategy setting within the Supply Chain to deliver robust strategic plans and initiatives

  • Provides inputs and advises on key business assumptions, trade-offs, risks and opportunities, in relation to the delivery of BU strategic plan, budgets and forecast

  • Acts as the finance leader of Supply Chain short term planning cycles, developing guidance to articulate the business requirements and expected growth targets relating to long term planning, budgeting and forecasting processes to deliver effective performance targets

  • Proactively identifies and supports strategic business initiatives and actions to drive Supply Chain performance to achieve forecast/targets

  • Provides Supply Chain specific business insights and commentary on the financial results and performance including interpreting, explaining with a view to driving improved performance 

  • Provides future looking ad-hoc analysis and scenarios to provide insights on specific business issues



  • The quality and effectiveness of strategic and operational decision support provided to the business within the market(s) under responsibility will be measured by the year on year and cumulative revenue growth for the region

  • The quality and effectiveness of the capital allocation decision support will be measured by the growth or change in ROCI performance

  • The financial impact of strategic business initiatives identified to drive performance and achieve forecast/ targets as measured by their outcome

  • The level of forecast and budget accuracy and/or the achievement of the BU budget and forecast within the market under responsibility as measured by % variance

  • The effectiveness of operational and financial risk management initiatives

  • The quality of insight and commentary on the financial results and performance within market(s) under responsibility

  • The effectiveness of the new market entry decisions as measured by execution of the market entry compared to the strategic plan


Authority/Decision Making

  • Finance approval limits as defined by the Brambles, BU and CBU LOA matrix



  • Ability to work across different time zones and cultures both within Finance and across the Business

  • Navigating the complexity of working in a matrix structure

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting or in a relevant finance technical discipline

  • Preferred: Master’s Degree (e.g. Finance, Business Administration, Accounting)

  • Preferred: Professional Certification (e.g. CPA, ACA, CIMA, CA, etc.)



  • 8+ years of Finance or Accounting leadership experience preferably in complex multinational businesses within Senior Finance roles, including previous business partnering experience 

  • Previous experience managing managers

  • Proven experience in driving change management initiatives


Skills and Knowledge

  • Good understanding of FP&A, Commercial and Supply Chain Finance processes

  • Good understanding of complex Finance, Accounting and Tax principles

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • Proven expertise in remote management and managing in a matrix experience

  • Decision maker, driven by objectives, solutions and results

  • Strategic and critical thinker, can anticipate & provide scenarios for different problems

  • Consistent behavior even under strong pressure
