Position Purpose

This role will develop and execute a strategic plan for the CHEP US business to integrate customers’ PO, invoicing and payment processes with CHEP as they transition to third party Procure to Pay providers. This will include managing resources to support integrations, leading a cross-functional task force, establishing new processes to address these opportunities and documenting learnings throughout.

 

Major/Key Accountabilities

Develop Strategic Plan & Lead Cross-Functional Project to:

  • Establish short- and long-term strategy around third party P2P’s, including internal communication plan

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholder to develop third party P2P project framework and deliver against goals

  • Develop resourcing model needed to support third party P2P processes, managing at lowest cost points

  • Assess business risks and impacts and communicate at appropriate levels within the organization in order to drive decision making process

  • Lead regular stakeholder and executive level reviews

  • Capture & apply learnings throughout project duration

 

Manage customer third party portal processes for CHEP US business:

  • Act as business lead for all customer third party P2P IT projects

  • Manage off shore resources to support all related manual processes and process invoice exceptions

  • Work directly with each CHEP customer to understand and map out their procurement to payment process using third party portals in order to streamline and mitigate negative impact to DSO

  • Create project plans for approved customers to move to third party P2P invoicing & payment process, including transitionary process and final long-term portal-driven process

  • Liaise with IT on development & implementation projects to progress through tollgates

  • Establish & monitor success metrics for new portal processes

  • Troubleshoot roadblocks to implementation

  • Resolve customer 3P portal invoicing issues including temporary pallet hold removal

  • Project decisions within established budget

  • Hiring for project & business support for third party P2P’s

  • Business sign-off on systems testing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; may be qualified through relevant experience

  • Desirable: Project management or Six Sigma certification

 

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years Project Management experience, preferably in relevant field(s): IT, procurement, payables, collections, or billing

  • People leadership experience & 2 years in customer-facing role

  • Long-term strategic planning with emphasis on execution and results

  • Ability to drive change across multiple stakeholder groups while minimizing risk to business performance

  • Participant/lead on systems integration or implementation projects

  • Working with senior leaders to gain quick approvals in dynamic environment

  • Strong results in “learn as you go” setting

  • Experience in supply chain or manufacturing operations (preferred)
