Position Purpose

  • Responsible for providing analytical and data processing support to the function in pursuit of the department's short and long term objectives. Support sub-projects and provide analysis of business processes and transactional data. Develop and executes daily, weekly & monthly reports in support of business growth & company health. Provides data to make accurate and timely management decisions.

 

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Manage daily transactional data processes and procedures

  • Assure data quality by performing quality checks on processed data; perform cleanup activities as needed

  • Develop and execute reports to validate data compliance

  • Collect and analyze user requirements and develop reports required for complex financial and management reporting

  • Lead data related month-end activities

  • Document and maintain data related SOPs

  • Support business unit help desk as needed

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of database management software at the intermediate level

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Proven ability to identify, define, and solve business problems

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and interact with different levels of the organization

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience

  • Experience: 2 years analytical experience in a financial/logistics or process improvement environment

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently or in a team

  • Adaptability & flexibility while in a state of constant change

  • Assimilates & applies new job-related information quickly

  • Ability to analyze situations and act with limited direction or information

  • Prior experience working with SQL

  • Ad-hoc report creation

  • User requirements gathering

 

Skills and Knowledge

  • Microsoft Office –Excel (strong skills required), Word, Power-Point required; Visio, MS Project preferred

  • Database management; understanding/familiarity with SQL

  • SAP, Business Warehouse
